We were there last week, but didn't eat there. They were doing helicopter rides around the mountain from the parking lot. We didn't try that either!

The Barter Theater's production of "Man of Constant Sorrow. The Story of the Stanley Brothers" ends on Oct. 2, the day of the reunion. If you come in early, you might want venture up to Abington, Va., to see the play in the historic theater.

After completing the development of this musical play over the last two years, Barter premieres the fully realized production of this work. From the author of Barter’s hit musical play Keep on the Sunny Side: The Songs and Story of the Original Carter Family comes the story of Bluegrass Legend Ralph Stanley, who became a household name in 2002 when he won a Grammy for the Best Male Country Vocal Performance. Famous for his banjo pickin’, Ralph Stanley has been playing music and sharing his Appalachian Heritage for nearly half a century. This is the story of Ralph and his brother Carter, well known as the famous music duo, The Stanley Brothers.
